As a part of the TEAM4TEAM program funded by ALDA from Europe and MEDAR from Turkey, we designed and implemented a training activity for the youth in cooperation with Media and Migration Association in Turkey.
The interactive training that we implemented with youngsters from 6 European countries during the Living Library Exchange in Mugla, Turkey, aimed to create awareness about Hate Speech and Cultural diversity in media. Thirty-six youngsters who joined the training had the opportunity to stimulate critical thinking towards cultural diversity and hate speech from a media and migration framework during the one and half-day program. The participants also replied to some questions about discrimination, cultural differences, media attitude towards immigrants and migration phenomena over a video.
